A Survey of proportions between maxillary anterior tooth and that's relationship with golden standard in Tabriz dental faculty
Abstract
The size and form of incisor teeth of up jaw not only affect the elegance of teeth, but alls, Affect the beauty of face. In different texts of prosthesis. There are different measures for the size and form of teeth (central, lateral and up canine). One of these cases is the golden proportion which defines the visible latitudinal proportion of central to lateral and of lateral to canine, that is 1.618. The other case is the proportion of width to length of central tooth, that is golden standard and defined as 80%. Material and method: They photographed 100 dentistry students which were 50 men and 50 women in standard conditions. Then they gained visible width of central, lateral up canine teeth and length of central, tooth are compared by golden standard. This is done separately for left and right side. The data are considered by SPSS 14 software. Results: In accordance to data, review of test result of mean difference for single sample shows that mean difference of proportion of right lateral tooth width to up right central tooth width is statistically significant full with golden proportion. (P<0.001) This difference is significant for left side. (P<0.001) also the review of test results of mean difference for single sample shows that mean difference of proportion of right lateral tooth to up right central tooth is significant with golden proportion. (P<0.001).This difference is significant for left side. (P<0.001) Then we can say that there is no golden proportion among up incisor teeth. The review of test result of mean difference for single sample shows that mean difference of proportion of width to length of left central tooth (P<0.001) and up right (P<0.001) is statistically significant by golden standard. There is no golden standard in the width to length proportion of up central tooth. Conclusion: There is not any golden proportion among The visible width proportion of up incisor teeth to each other and there is not also golden standard proportion between up central width to length.
