Abstract
Fluoride is one of the minerals in the nature which is naturally found in all water sources ; even the oceans. This halogen combines with other elements very hard. This is not naturally found in the fluoride form ;but found in fluorine form. The roll of this mineral in prevention of dental caries and dental strengthen as known in more than hundred years. Hereby fluoride in several methods used as supplements and also subjoin of that in to The toothpaste, mouth wash milk or bread and at end subjoin of that in to drinking water recommended. Optimum fluoride or concentration of fluoride that had anti caries efficacy with low risk of fluorosis was determined in ppm deal. Suitable concentration of fluoride of drinking water determined in accordance with temperature of each area. The aim of this study was Evaluation of fluoride content of cities of West Azarbaijan drinking water and determining the necessary level of it in . Methods: In a cross-sectional descriptive study , the amount of fluoride in drinking water reservoirs of cities of West Azarbaijan was examined on different reservoirs. Result and Conclusions: The mean fluoride concentration of test in cities was .ppm that explanatory the low fluoride levels in drinking water of this cities, which reveals the need for additunal fluoride supplement in drinking water of this cities.
