A comparison of the diagnostic accuracy of bitewing film # 2 and periapical with film # 1 for root lesion detection in maxillary root teeth in mixed dentition

Abstract
The aim of the intraoral radiographic evaluation is to diagnos the tooth caries and root sunfuce and suronding structurs . In this study it was all about the accurecy between two technique of Bitewing with film #2 and preapical technique with film#1 to diagnos and evalute the maxillary primary molar. Materials and methods: Bite wing radiographic with film # 2 and preapical with film in early Mixed dentition(6-9) years old to detect the condition of the Roots of the maxillart primary molars and two of our faculty member has cheeked the radiographics . The data which has came out are used of SPSS-13 to understant the differences. Result: Over the 70 children that was in the study There was 24 Boys and 46 girls were jonid In preapical radiographic technique to detect the root resorbtion and caries defect and forcation involvment 48.46% and 12.6% which this detection in Bitewing techique was 57.21% and 46.18% . Conculation: The Bite wing technique has the most accurcy to diagnosis forcation involument root resorbtion and caries detection.
