Abstract
Iran has been dealing with the problem of drug abuse and the harm caused by it for a long time. But with the change of consumption pattern from traditional to industrial materials, it has faced more problems. Despite the increase in the consumption of such substances, an effective treatment regimen for stabilization of methamphetamine patients in Iran has not yet been determined and there is a need for many studies. The present study was conducted with the aim of comparison of the effects and side effects of the three drugs risperidone, quetiapine and olanzapine in the treatment of psychosis symptoms due to Shisheh. Materials and methods: The present study is a clinical (interventional) trial and the target population includes people with glass abuse referred to the health clinic or Abu Reihan ward of Razi Hospital in Tabriz during 1402 with psychotic symptoms who are being treated. They are divided into three groups with one of the drugs risperidone, quetiapine or olanzapine. Samples are selected from people who refer to Razi Hospital Health Clinic or are admitted to Abu Reihan ward. In this plan, the number of at least 45 samples (using the samples used in previous studies and research method sources) will be divided equally into three groups of 15 people treated with risperidone, quetiapine and olanzapine. Demographic questionnaire, urine test, semi-structured SCID interview and PANSS positive and negative symptom scale and Hans Rating Scale (SHRS) will be used to collect data. Samples will be tested once before starting treatment and again One month after starting treatment. The study is a One-way blind type (data analyst will not know which group is taking which medicine and the patients will be identified based on the code). Data will be analyzed using SPSS 23 statistical software with P≤0.05. Results: On the first day, there was no significant difference in terms of positive and negative symptoms. On the seventh day of treatment, positive symptoms (delusions, delusional behavior, suspicion and suspiciousness, total positive symptoms), negative symptoms (Emotional withdrawal) and general psychopathology scales (total symptoms, combined symptoms, lack of judgment and insight, Preoccupation, lack of energy and cynicism) are significantly different from each other. On the 28th day, positive symptoms (delusions, delusional behavior, suspicion and suspiciousness, total positive symptoms), negative symptoms (slow emotion) and general psychopathology scales (total symptoms, mixed symptoms, lack of judgment and insight, Preoccupation, lack of energy and cynicism) are significantly different from each other. Quetiapine caused a greater reduction in slow emotion and other symptoms of risperidone, and quetiapine had the least side effects.
