Adaptation and implementation of the World Health Organization's clinical guidelines on maternal and newborn care for a positive postnatal experience

Abstract

Background: this study aims to determine the knowledge and attitude of the people referring to the emergency department of the educational and treatment centers of Tabriz University of medical sciences regarding organ donation after cardiac death. Method: this cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in the emergency department of educational and treatment centers of Tabriz University of medical sciences with the participation of 422 people in 1401. In order to collect data, two questionnaires were used on the knowledge and attitude of the general public regarding organ donation after cardiac death. After collecting the data, it analyzed using SPSS/v21 software. Findings: based on the results, 71.8% did not want to donate to donate organs, and 48.1%said that they do not know about the and whether they registered for organ donation or not, the majority answered yes(58.3%). the mean score of peoples knowledge was intermediate and highest frequency of correct answers related to the item "selling organs is illegal in Iran"(69.7). the results of the present study showed that the mean attitude score the people was weak. the highest mean(SD) is related to the item, I support donating body organs for transplantation with 88.44+20.7. Conclusion: the results of this research can be used for increasing the number of donation, and promoting the culture of organ donation among the community and families and families and families and identifying the obstacles and challenges in this field.
