dc.description.abstract | Congenital heart disease (CHD) is one of the most common congenital defects and one of the main causes of death in children. The pathology of heart and lung diseases are strongly interrelated. Measurement of arterial blood gas parameters (ABG) including relative arterial oxygen pressure (PaO2) and alveolar-arterial oxygen gradient ((A-a (O2)) Grad after heart surgery in adults, significant impact on surgical results and length of stay There is a door in the hospital, but this connection is still not clear in children.
Materials and methods: This research is a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study, information from the files of children under 15 years of age with congenital heart diseases who were hospitalized and under Open heart surgery has been completely corrected; extracted. Finally, 340 patients were included in the study.
Findings: In this study, the relationship between the variables PH, PaO2, PCO2, HCO3, SaO2 and (A-a (O2)) Grad with the variable of type of congenital heart disease (cyanotic and non-cyanotic) and also the final status of the patient (recovery or death) was investigated. which had a significant relationship in most of the factors. Also, the relationship between the effect of PaO2 intensity (hypoxic, hyperoxic and normoxic effect) on the variable of the patient's final condition showed a significant relationship. In examining the effect of PaO2 intensity with the variables of age, duration of intubation, hospitalization in PICU, and hospitalization, it was shown that there is a significant relationship. | en_US |
