dc.description.abstract1 found between PRAL index and lipid profile; But there was a significant relationship between NEAP index, TG, and LDL-C in obese people. respectively, (Beta=0.90, CI: 95% (1.74, 0.06), P=0.03) (Beta = 0.67, CI: 95% (-0.02, -1.32), P=0.04). A significant relationship was observed between PRAL score and FBS in people with normal weight (Beta=0.83, CI: 95% (1.60, 0.06), P=0.03). No significant relationship was found between NEAP index and glycemic indices. Also, in obese subjects, there was a direct relationship between NEAP and weight (Beta=0.27, CI: 95% (0.50, 0.04), P=0.02). There is a significant relationship between PRAL and BMI in both case (Beta=0.12, CI: 95% (0.24, 0.004), P=0.03) and controls (Beta =0.07, CI: 95% (0.13, 008), P=0.02). A significant correlation was found between the serum level of IGF-1 and insulin (Beta=0.06, CI: 95% (-0.003, -0.10), P=0.04) and with BMI in obese people (Beta=0.02, CI: 95% (-0.001, -0.02) , P=0.03,). Conclusion: According to the results of the present study, the NEAP index of dietary acid load has a significant relationship with LDL-C, TG and weight in obese people. Also, PRAL score has a significant relationship with BMI in obese and normal people and with FBS in normal people. In addition, IGF-1 serum level has a significant relationship with insulin and BMI in obese people and also with FBS level in normal people. Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) is a hormone known as the main mediator of growth hormone (GH). GH/IGF-1 system plays an important role in the pathogenesis of obesity. Studies have shown that diet may affect the body's acid-base balance, changing the blood's pH. A diet rich in food that has a relatively high acid formation potential may play a role in insulin resistance, diabetes, and obesity, considering the increasing prevalence of obesity in the world, investigating the factors involved in its development plays an important role in controlling obesity. This study aims to investigate the relationship among dietary acid load and serum IGF-1 level, lipid profile, anthropometric indices, and glycemic indices in obese people. Methods: In this case-control study, 90 people were divided into two groups of 45 with normal weight (BMI = 18.5-25 kg/m²) and obese (BMI> 30 kg/m²). Participants' Demographic information was recorded and anthropometric parameters, lipid, and glycemic profile levels were measured between the two groups. The level of IGF-1 was evaluated by the ELISA method and the dietary acid load subjects were evaluated using the NEAP and PRAL scores for each group. and the measured factors were checked. Results: In the present study, the level of serum IGF-1 in normal weight subjects was significantly higher (P=0.02) than obese subjects. No significant relationship wasen_US
