Androgenic alopecia is one of the most common problems in human societies, affecting about 50% of the world's population. Adult stem cells are undifferentiated cells that are activated at certain stages of a person's life or when an injury occurs to the body and replace dead and damaged cells. The hair follicle is one of the parts that has a reserve of mature stem cells that play an important role in the life cycle of the hair. Therefore, according to these materials, the aim of this study is to isolate and compare the expression of the markers of hair follicle stem cells in the frontal and occipital regions in androgenic alopecia. Methodology: Hair follicles were isolated from the occipital and frontal areas of the human scalp using the micropunch method, and in the laboratory, after separating the capsule using a surgical blade, the follicles were cultured in culture flasks inside the culture medium. After the growing and multiplying cells were observed around the follicle and the bottom of the flask, the follicles were separated from the bottom of the flask and removed from the environment. Then the expression of markers of stem cells were investigated using flow cytometry. And data analysis was done with SPSS26 and Graphpadprism 8 software and using Wilcoxon test. Findings: The analysis of the results in this study showed that the levels of CD90, CD45, CD19, CD106 and CD66 in the frontal and occipital regions of the head showed a significant difference (P-Value=0.008).en_US
