Objective: Palindromic rheumatism is characterized by frequent and irregular attacks without fever, arthritis, periarthritis, and sometimes swelling and erythema of the soft tissue around the joint, which occur at unspecified intervals and last for several hours to several days. Tumor necrosis factor-induced protein (IL10,19) plays an important role in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. The present study aimed to investigate the polymorphisms (Rs1800896, Rs1800872) of the IL10,19 gene in patients with palindromic rheumatism and RA patients. has been Method: The total volume of the studied sample was 120 people. These people were selected from the patients referred to the hospital who had palindromic rheumatism diagnosed by a rheumatologist based on diagnostic criteria, and 40 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 40 control group without autoimmune disease were selected. After blood collection and RNA extraction, Rs1800896 and Rs1800872 polymorphisms were investigated using tetra-ARMs PCR technique. Results: Findings: The results of our study showed the difference in frequency of Rs1800872 genotypes including TT, TG and GG and TT, TC and CC genotypes of Rs1800896 between the control groups and the group of patients with RA, as well as the control group and the group of patients with palindromic rheumatism. It was not significant (P>0.05). The frequency of TT Rs1800896 genotype is significant between control and palindromic rheumatism groups, so that TT and CC genotypes reduce the risk of disease and increase health. Also, in the case of TC, there is a significant difference for the frequency of the TC genotype between the two groups, and the obtained OR is also significant, showing that the TC genotype increases the risk of disease and decreases being healthy. The allelic frequency of Rs1800896 between the control and palindromic rheumatism groups is also significant, and according to the OR value obtained, the C allele compared to the T allele increases the risk of contracting the disease by 27.568 times. In the comparison between the RA and palindromic rheumatism groups, the difference observed for the GG genotype between the two groups, as well as the calculated OR, is significant. GG genotype increases the risk of RA compared to palindromic.en_US
