Cumulative incidence of venous thromboembolism in patients with advanced COVID-19 infection is 25-49%, and arterial thrombosis such as cerebrovascular thrombosis and MI are also common, and About 3-5% of hospitalized patients have ischemic stroke. The aim of this study is to assessment of plasma prothrombotic factors and SARS-COV2 antibody prevalence in children with acute anterior or posterior circulation ischemic stroke. Materials and Methods: This research was a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study and the target population was children with acute cerebral ischemia referred to Tabriz Children's Hospital in 2020-21. The sampling method was census. First, the study subjects were divided into 2 groups of acute anterior and posterior circulation ischemic stroke based on the criteria of MRI or CT scan after obtaining informed consent. Then 10 cc of blood was taken from the patients and after separating serum and plasma, the prevalence and level of coagulation factors including protein C, protein S, antiphospholipid antibody, antithrombin 3, lipid profile including LDL, HDL, CHL and TG and SARS-COV2 antibody were investigated and evaluated by biochemical methods (biochemistry autoanalyzer) and ELISA in each of these groups separately. Also, the prevalence and increase of these factors in acute anterior and posterior circulation ischemic stroke were compared. Results: In this study, 34 patients were examined, 25 cases (73.5%) had acute anterior infarction, 7 cases (20.6%) had acute posterior infarction and 2 cases (5.9%) of them had acute anterior and posterior infatction. The prevalence of covid-19 in two groups of patients with posterior and anterior acute infarction was 1 case (14.6%) and 3 cases (11.1%), respectively. Among the demographic factors, the prevalence of covid-19 disease, the level of coagulation factors predisposing to thrombosis and the lipid profile, none of the variables of gender, age, prevalence of covid-19 disease, triglyceride, cholesterol, antithrombin 3, protein S and protein C, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of patients with acute anterior and posterior circulation ischemic stroke (P-value>0.05).en_US
