Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. According to the studies, one out of every three cancers diagnosed in the world is skin cancer and due to this issue, the importance of early treatment is increasing day by day. Melanoma is the most aggressive and deadly type of skin cancer and one of the most malignant cancers. Various methods such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and surgery are used in the treatment of this type of cancer. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effect of miR-155 and miR-206 on the BMI gene expression in melanoma A-375 cell line. Materials and methods: The present laboratory study was performed on melanoma cancer cells in RPMI 1640 culture medium containing 10% FCS at 37 degrees centigrade and 5% CO2. After counting and dividing the cells, the inside of the cell plate was stimulated with miR-155. Incubation was done. After 48 hours, the cells were collected and total mRNA was extracted and the expression level of BMI was checked through qRT-PCR. Finally, Independent Student T-Test was used to compare the gene expressions statistically. Results: The results of the present study showed that the expression level of BMI gene in melanoma cell line (A-375) decreased when exposed to miR-155 and miR-206. Also, the results showed the decreased level of MAPK expression in melanoma cell line.en_US
