Articles based on the safety of mesh in the hernia repair of transplant patients have been reported and proven, so it seems that using mesh in a safe manner is a suitable solution in the form of a large mismatch between the allograft and the recipient. Materials and Methods: In this study, a clinical intervention trial aimed at investigating the effect of using mesh in closing the abdominal wall in kidney transplant surgery; Patients who have been admitted to the hospital since 2017-2018 and had the conditions for kidney transplant based on the diagnosis of the attending physician, were included in the study. After entering the patients into the study, people who met the conditions of mesh placement were fitted with mesh, and after entering these people, they were called the mesh group; Similar to the age, gender and anthropometric findings of these patients, the disease from other patients without mesh implantation was included in the study as the control group. All patient information, including demographic, anthropometric, etc. information, was entered into the checklist that was prepared in advance. At the end, all the data were entered into the SPSS v22 statistical program for statistical analysis and we analyzed the data. Results: In this study, 30 patients who underwent kidney transplantation were divided into two groups of mesh implantation and control group. 8 patients (53.3%) of the mesh group and 11 patients (73.3%) of the control group were male (P=0.256). The average age in the mesh embedding group was 45.27 ± 7.87 years and in the control group was 43.27 ± 7.98 years (P=0.496). In the examination of creatinine level, although the creatinine level in both groups clearly decreased found, but there is no significant difference between the two groups. There was pain at the operation site in 3 patients (20%) of the mesh group and 1 patient (6.7%) of the control group (P=0.283). Swelling of the operation site was also reported in the two groups.en_US
