dc.description.abstractAims: The aim of the present study was to compare the shear bond strength of resin cement, bulk-fill composite, and pre-heated nanohybrid composite in connection with glass ceramics. Materials and methods: In this study, cylindrical lithium disilicate rods with a diameter of 3 mm and a height of 4 mm were used. 135 samples were prepared and divided into 3 groups (n=45). After preparing the surface with 9.5% HF and adding a layer of silane to their surface, each group was bonded with types of cement. The first group was bonded with Bisco Choice 2 resin cement, the second group with Tokuyama bulk-flow composite, and the third group with palfique asteria tokuyama pre-heated nanohybrid composite. After adding cement, the height of the cylindrical rods reached 7 mm. Then the samples were incubated at 37°C for 24 hours. Finally, the shear bond strengths of the samples were measured by a universal testing machine with speed of 1mm/min and load cell of 2500. Shear force was applied to the cement at a distance of 1 mm from the bonding surface of the cement and ceramic. The fracture pattern was determined using a stereomicroscope. The results were analyzed using spss software version 21 (p < 0.05). Results: The results of one-way and two-way analysis of variance showed that in terms of shear bond strength, there is a significant difference between the groups of resin cement, bulk-fill composite, and pre-heated nanohybrid composite (p=0.001). The results of Tukey's post hoc test showed that in the two-by-two comparisons of the studied groups, there is a significant difference between the groups in terms of shear bond strength (p=0.001). The results of the two-way analysis of variance to investigate the type of failure among the groups showed that there is no significant difference in terms of the type of failure. The interaction effect of groups with type of failure was also not significant. Conclusion: This study showed that the shear bond strength of resin cement has the highest value and the shear bond strength of pre-heated nanohybrid composite has the lowest value among the studied groups, and the type of cement has no significant effect on the type of failure.en_US
