Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte Ratio is also a new low-cost and easily available inflammatory marker that has been associated with the severity and prog-nosis of many cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study is to investi-gate the relationship between NLR and hospital and long-term mortality in patients. Method and materials: This is a retrospective and analytical study in which all 183 suspected heart tumor patients were examined from the beginning of 2004 to the end of March 2019. The relationship between the amount of NLR and hospital and long-term mortality was investigated based on the checklist. Also, the cut point value for the NLR rate was calculated based on long-term mortality and the sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value were calculated. The survival rate was also calculated. Results: The results showed that the average NLR in the patients who died in the hospital and also who died after one year was significantly higher than the living ones. Also, the cut point value of NLR was determined as 7.71 with a sensitivity value of 70% and a specificity of 71%. The area un-der the curve (AUC) in this case was 0.7 with a CI (0.55-0.84) and was significant . The results of the log-rank test also showed that the average survival in group NLR> 7.71 and group NLR≤ 7.71 was statistically sig-nificant.en_US
