dc.description.abstractAbstract Background: Most of the hospital personnel are against the presence of the patient's family during resuscitation for various reasons, while the presence of the family during resuscitation is inevitable in prehospital emergency scenes. The study was conducted to investigate the attitude, performance and self-confidence of prehospital emergency personnel towards family presence during resuscitation. Methods: In a descriptive study, data was collected from the random sample of 252 prehospital emergency personnel in East Azarbaijan, Iran. Attitude, performance and self-confidence questionnaires were used to collect data regarding family presence during resuscitation. Descriptive and correlational analyses were conducted using spss26. Results: Out of a total of 252 participants, 237 people (94.0%) experienced Family presence during resuscitation, and according to 74.3% of the Participants, the number of family members present resuscitation was mostly 3-4. The average attitude score of pre-hospital emergency personnel regarding family presence during resuscitation was 43.69±19.40, Performance score 52.00±16.1 and self-confidence score 65.94±15.89. There was a positive correlation between the attitude, Performance, and self-confidence of the participants regarding family presence during resuscitation. Conclusion: The attitude and self-confidence of pre-hospital emergency personnel regarding family presence during resuscitation can affect their Performance. Therefore, Exploring or determining the factors affecting the attitude and self-confidence of personnel is very important. The result showed that personnel with high self-confidence have positive attitude and Effective performance towards family presence during resuscitation. Also, personnel with high experience, liability insurance, and personnel who have completed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation training express high self-confidence, and the can leads to positive attitude and better Performance in the presence of the family during resuscitation.en_US
