Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by memory loss, cognitive impairment, behavioral changes, and loss of functional abilities. The Angiotensin 2 pathway and angiotensin 1 receptor play an important role in neuron inflammation by increasing polarization. Aim: The aim of the study is to investigate the co-administration of enalapril and rivastigmine on memory impairment caused by hyoscine and oxidative stress parameters in male rats using the passive avoidance test method. Methods: The study was conducted on healthy male Wistar rats in the weight range of 180-220 g. The number of studied animals is 42, which were randomly divided into 7 groups of 6 and kept in standard plastic glass cages in the animal room. Intraperitoneal injection of hyoscine with a dose of 0.5 mg per kg for 5 days was used to create a model of amnesia (Alzheimer`s). To investigate the effect of enalapril and rivastigmine on memory impairment caused by hyoscine, enalapril drug in three doses of 2, 1, and 0.5 mg per kilogram and rivastigmine 0.5 mg per kilogram of weight for 5 days along with hyoscine injection became. In order to check learning and memory, the shuttle box was used as a passive prevention method. Results: Examining the results showed that the combined use of enalapril and rivastigmine has significantly reduced the cognitive impairment caused by hyoscine, and even the use of rivastigmine alone shows improvement in memory and learning. Conclusion: Examining the results showed that the combined use of enalapril and rivastigmine significantly reduced the cognitive impairment caused by hyoscine, and even the use of rivastigmine alone showed improvement in memory and learning.en_US
