Hydatidosis is a zoonotic disease caused by the larval stage of Echinococcus granulosus in humans and other intermediate hosts. Hydatid cysts are replaced in organs such as the liver and lungs and cause tissue damage. Therefore, it is necessary to study the safety pathways in the interaction between the parasite and the host. Various mechanisms are involved in the survival of hydatid cysts in the body that prevent the parasite from being excreted. Aim of study is the effect of hydatid cyst liquid on the expression of metastatic markers in the liver cancer cell line. Material and Methods: The cell line wass cultured in RPMI1640 medium and after the cells reach logarithmic growth, two groups with/without hydatid cyst liquid treated were considered. After 24 hours, the cells were collected for mRNA extraction, and then cDNA synthesis. Finally, the expression of the genes examined by RT-PCR Results: QRT-PCR test variations in the expression of VEGF-A and MMP9 genes significantly increased in 20 and 80 µg/ml of hydatid cyst liquid (p<0.01).en_US
