Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Smoking due to cigarette, hubble-bubble and baking is a major risk factor for COPD. Pulmonary hypertension is frequently observed in patients especially with advanced COPD as a consequence of chronic alveolar hypoxia. Pulmonary hypertension is poor prognosis. Aim: Our study evaluate relation of three major risk factors of COPD (cigarette, hubble-bubble smoking and baking ) with severity of airways obstruction and incidence , severity of pulmonary hypertension . Materials and methodes: In tuberculosis and respiratory disease research center in TABRIZ medical university, we selected randomly 65 patients with COPD, including 16 women and 49 men with chronic cough and sputum without exacerbation in recent 6 weeks. History, physical examination, puls-oximetry, plethysmography and Color Doppler echocardiography are done. Cheklist completed on the data. SPSS analysis is done. Results: Respectively, 24.6%, 75.4 % of patients are women and men. Mean body mass index was 24.89, 24.97 and 26.25 in patients with history of cigarette smoking, baking and Hubble – bubble smoking, respectively. The most common symptom and sign was dyspnea and decreased breath sound in all patients. Airway obstruction severity was equal in all patients. Hypoxemia was reported in 29.62%, 30% and 38.88% of three groups.en_US
