dc.description.abstractUrethral stricture is a relatively common disease in men. The purpose of urethroplasty surgery is to restore patient’s urination ability as well as maintaining and increasing their quality of life. Our aim in this study is to investigate the results of urethroplasty - including subjective results in patients with a stricture. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, 81 patients with urethral stricture referred to Imam Reza Medical Education Center in Tabriz who underwent urethroplasty were included in the study. Data related to age, urinary problems, erectile dysfunction and sexual function, overall satisfaction after surgery, surgical technique used, previous procedures, anatomical location of stenosis, and overall patient satisfaction were collected and analyzed statistically.. Results: Based on our results, 52% of patients reported no problems with voiding after surgery, 38% had moderate problems, and the rest had severe or very severe problems. 1.2% of patients had severe urinary incontinence, 17% moderate, while 81% had no problems. 64% of patients had no problem with erection, although 33% and 2.5% had moderate and severe problems in this field, respectively. 63% of patients were satisfied with their sexual performance and 3% had severe problems. Finally, after at least 6 months after surgery, 52% of our patients were completely satisfied with the result, 47% were moderately dissatisfied, and 1.2% were completely dissatisfied.en_US
