dc.description.abstractFalling is a major problem internationally in public health. And is a principal cause of danger to safety in hospital. This study was conducted to Assess the patterns of admitted patient falls in shahada hospital of Tabriz (2014 to 2022). Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all the fall reports available in the Patient Safety Unit in Shahada Hospital (related to the years 2014-2022) were used. These reports were related to the fall of patients who fell after being admitted to the ward or admitted to any of the hospital's units, such as the emergency room or para-clinic. The information related to each case was reviewed at the time when the fall occurred for each patient, and the information related to sex, age, place of fall, and time of fall were recorded and analyzed. Results: The mean of the age of the studied patients was 50.45 ± 18.71 years. 80.65% of the studied cases were male patients. The fall occurred in 41.38 percent of cases during the night shift. And in terms of the location of the fall, the frequency of falling from the bed was 70.97%.en_US
