dc.description.abstractdue to the overlap of covid-19 and the occurrence of trauma in patients who were not aware of the existence of the disease or during the outbreak of the disease, it has caused some patients to be brought to the emergency room due to trauma and due to the lack of findings of acute failure Respiratory and shortness of breath are included in the trauma section of the emergency triage, so the purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalence of these patients and to investigate the outcome of the patients and the duration of hospitalization in case of hospitalization and compare it with patients without covid-19 findings. Method: This study is a retrospective, descriptive-cross-sectional-analytical study in which trauma patients who visited the emergency room of Imam Reza (AS) hospital during the years 2019 and 2014 and were involved in the investigations or not having covid is confirmed for patients. These patients are patients who were admitted to the trauma department at the time of entering the emergency room and were not triaged to the emergency covid department (they were not known cases of covid). Confirmation of the diagnosis of Covid-19 is by PCR test. Results: In this study, 425 patients were included in the study. Based on this, the average age of the patients was 37.74-41.62, 39.68 ± 20.35 (CI95%) with a median of 38 years and an interquartile range of 24 to 53. It was a year. In examining the gender distribution of patients, 352 patients (82.8%) were male and 73 patients (17.2%) were female. In examining the types of trauma resulting in injury, the most common type of trauma was car accident with 36% and falling with 36.2%, which includes two-thirds of all traumas. Among these patients, based on clinical evidence and imaging studies, 7 patients had positive PCR while they had no complaints of covid-19 symptoms, and in the chest CT scan of these patients, 8 patients had findings indicating involvement with covid-19. They had 19. In examining the length of stay of patients in the hospital, it was 6.97 ± 9.24 days, with a median of 4 and a median of 2 to 8 days. In examining the outcome of the patients, 47 patients (11%) died and 361 patients (84.9%) were discharged from the hospital.en_US
