Taking into account the antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immune system enhancing and calming properties of medicinal plants in the herbal distillate composition and according to the pandemic of corona disease and the lack of selected medicine for the treatment and prevention of this disease, this retrospective study is conducted with the aim of determining the effect of combined herbal medicine in preventing corona disease in the population of Harris city in comparison with the city of Hashtroud. Methods and Materials: Laris-hyssop combined herbal medicine was provided to every qualified family at risk of corona disease. The population over 5 years of age used 5 (under 12 years) and 10 (over 12 years) cc of this medicine daily for 14 days. The amount of drug use, reasons for drug discontinuation and satisfaction with drug use were investigated. Follow-up of people's condition was done on a daily basis, and in case of symptoms, the person was examined by a doctor for further examination, and if necessary, the patient was referred to higher centers for diagnostic and treatment measures in terms of corona disease. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the frequency of new cases of disease, hospitalization and death in the whole city of Haris as the intervention group and Hashtroud city as the control group after medication consumption. However, the frequency of occurrence of new cases of the disease in the group of drug users in the city of Harris as the intervention group was significantly lower than the frequency of the occurrence of new cases of the disease in the city of Hashtroud as the control group (OR=0.067, 95%CI=0.009-0.499, P =0.00012). Drug side effects were reported in 7% of the participants, which included headache, dizziness, facial rash, palpitations, abdominal pain, and nausea.en_US
