Introduction: Different mechanisms (oxidative stress, etc.) are involved in the occurrence of Vincristine-induced neuropathy. Edarvone and vitamin B6 with high antioxidant properties can be investigated in the possibility of reducing the incidence of Vincristine-induced neuropathy. Aim: The Aim was the evaluation of the effect of Edaravone and vitamin B6 in the Vincristine-induced neuropathy.Method:Male mice (81 numbers) in the weight range of 25-35 grams were randomly divided into 9 groups of 9 and were subjected to the following treatment regimens for 25 days. 1) Saline (10ml/kg, i.p.) + Saline (10ml/kg, i.p.) 2) Saline (10ml/kg, i.p.) + Vincristine (1mg/kg, i.p.) 3,4,5) Edaravone (2,4,8 mg/kg, i.p.) + Vincristine (1mg/kg, i.p.) 6,7,8) Vitamin B6 (100,200,400 mg/kg, i.p.) + Vincristine (1mg/kg, i.p.) 9) Edaravone (2mg/kg, i.p.) + Vitamin B6 (100mg/kg, i.p.) + Vincristine (1mg/kg, i.p.) Different doses of Edaravone, Vitamin B6 and Saline were injected three days before Vincristine injection, and on the fourth day, Vincristine (1mg/kg, i.p.) was administered as a single dose. Next, 3 days were considered for drug injection and 3 days were considered as injection-free days. The next day the hot plate test was done. This 7-day process was repeated 3 times in all groups. At the end of the 25th day, blood was taken from the heart of animals to perform MDA and TAC tests. Result: The results indicated a significant effect of different doses of Edaravone (2,4,8mg/kg,i.p.) and vitamin B6 (100,200,400mg/kg,i.p.) in the prevention of Vincristine-induced neuropathy. No significant effects on serum levels of MDA and TAC levels were observed within the mentioned doses of Edaravone and vitamin B6 in compared with control group. Conclusion: Edaravone and vitamin B6 with studied doses have the potential to inhibited Vincristine-induced neuropathy with a mechanism other than inhibiting oxidative stress.en_US
