dc.description.abstractOsteoarthritis or arthrosis is the most common joint disease and its main pathological manifestation at the tissue level is local destruction of articular cartilage, which is manifested in movable joints by the destruction of articular cartilage along with new ossification on the surface and margins of the involved joints. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the serum level of Ficolin 2 and its relationship with the severity of osteoarthritis. Materials and methods In this descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study, 60 patients with osteoarthritis and 30 people control group in Tabriz teaching hospitals in 2020 were selected and examined according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Written consent was obtained from all the subjects after providing the necessary explanations, and blood samples were taken from these subjects to check the Ficolin serum level. Then, the serum level of Ficolin 2 was determined with the help of a special kit and by ELISA method. After conducting the study and collecting primary data, data analysis was done. Results According to the obtained results, women have the highest number of osteoarthritis sufferers by percentage, and also the highest place of osteoarthritis was observed in the knee joint. Examining the level of ficolin 2 showed that the level of this factor has increased significantly in grades three and four, and the increase in the level of this factor has a significant relationship with the duration of disease and age.en_US
