dc.description.abstractTrauma is the leading cause of mortality and disability in children a ged 1-14 years. Trauma causes death and disability in comparison with all disease s in children. Child trauma remains a major health problem in the United States. T he greatest defect in the used equipment in emergency ward was due to the lack of simultaneous equipment and trained personnel. Given the importance of the issue , it reveals the provision of necessarity of equipment for the management of pediat ric emergencies. So in this study, we evaluated the strategic availability of the faci lities, technology and equipment for the care of traumatic patients in emergency c enters receiving pediatric traumatic patients. Materials and Methods: In this study, considering the geographical activities of East Azarbaijan province, the status of these centers was evaluated in terms of ped iatric emergency equipment. We compared these centers with comparable standar ds, and we conducted an investigation in terms of affairs among us for this purpos e, a check list is based on the standards provided, By looking at the emergency de partments in the region and examining the emergency department of these centers, we examined the status of each of these centers in terms of the conditions for chil dren emergency. Results: In this study, 20 hospitals in the East Azarbaijan province were studied. Emergencies are more than 50% equipped with adequate air-to-air equipment. All of the emergency rooms were equipped with oxygen therapy equipment, but more than 70% of the emergency rooms had no chest tube and ventilator fit for childre n. More than seventy percent of emergency rooms had cardiac monitoring and pre ssure gauge for pediatric patients, but less than 50 percent have a blood transfusio n set and a urinary catheter. Only in two hospitals of twenty hospitals reported a re cord of activity on children trauma, and other 18 hospitals.had no experience.en_US
