Introduction: Various mechanisms are involved in vincristine neuropathy (including activation of oxidative stress, increased activity of NMDA and serotonin receptors, etc.). Honey with its antioxidant properties and ketotifen with its anti-inflammatory properties improve the functioning of the nervous system.Goal: The purpose of this study was to investigate the preventive effect of honey and ketotifen on neuropathic pain caused by vincristine administration in mice. Materials and methods: 81 male mice in a weight range of 25 to 35 grams were randomly divided into 9 equal groups and different dose of honey and ketotifen for 25 days. Different doses of honey and ketotifen were injected three days before prescription. at the fourth day we inject vincristine (1 mg/kg,IP ). Then injection of honey and ketotifen continued for 3 days. After that we have 3 days for rest. Finally we performed hot plate test. This 7 day cycle repeated 3 times for all groups. At day 25, animals were euthanized and then blood samples were collected for MDA and TAC estimation.Result: The results indicated a significant effect of different doses of honey (IP, 20, 10, 5 mg/kg) and ketotifen (IP, 2, 4, 8 mg/kg). Also, the effect of honey injection (IP, 5mg/kg) and ketotifen (IP, 2mg/kg) could significantly increase the TAC biomarker level. Conclusion:The reduction of neuropathy is not due to the mechanism of oxidative stress suppression, and ketotifen and honey at the doses studied did not reduce neuropathy with the mechanism of oxidative stress suppression, and probably caused the reduction of neuropathy by another mechanismsen_US
