Seizures are an important problem in tramadol poisoning, which is more common in young men with an average age of 22-39.5 years. Tramadol metabolite can cause ECG changes and seizures even in therapeutic doses. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between modified QT interval changes in ECG and recurrence of seizures in hospitalized patients with tramadol poisoning. Method: In this study, all patients had tramadol poisoning in the northwest of the country, who were admitted to the poisoning departments (women, men, and ICU) of Sinai Hospital in 2018 and 2019, and included 117 patients. Results; There is no significant difference in terms of corrected QT interval between two recurrences with seizure recurrence and without recurrence following tramadol administration. Hospitalization in patients who had more than one seizure was more than patients who had only one seizure. Systolic blood pressure was higher among patients with one episode of seizures than among other patients who had more seizures. Seizure incidence and number were higher among patients with evidence of tramadol use. Women using tramadol in the study had significantly higher QT interval corrected by both Bazetti and Framingham methods than men. However, there was no difference in the frequency of long QTc between male and female patients by Bazetti and Framingham methods.en_US
