Methods: All nurses working in the emergency department of Imam Reza (AS) Hospital are included in the study. Nurses who worked temporarily or for a short time in the emergency room were excluded from the study. Nurses were then asked three questions, the first of which was the signs and symptoms of stroke, the second of which was related to how blood pressure was managed in stroke patients, and the final of which was related to the golden time and the standard protocol designed by the hospital.
Results: There was no significant difference between nurses participating in the workshop and nurses without attending the workshop, knowledge of stroke signs and symptoms. Comparison between nurses participating in the workshop with nurses without attending the workshop, whether there is sufficient knowledge on how to control blood pressure in hemorrhagic stroke or not, there was no significant difference. Comparison between nurses participating in the workshop with nurses without attending the workshop, knowledge of how to control blood pressure in strokes that do not have a thrombotic indication, there was no significant difference.
