In this descriptive-analytical study, the behavior of 946 drivers behind a red light was observed and recorded with the Martnez-S instrument at specific times (morning, noon and evening). Unsafe drivers' behaviors include not wearing a seat belt, talking on a cell phone, texting, using a handsfree, checking a cell phone, distracting the child, talking to the passenger, not following the stop line, eating and drinking, and getting out of the car behind The red light was to disembark the passenger behind the red light and the driver was arguing with the passenger behind the red light. Results: 42% of drivers did not follow the stop line behind the red light. 72% did not wear seat belts and 13.6% used mobile phones. 22% of drivers were talking to their passengers. The frequency of other unsafe behaviors was less than 3%. Women were more likely than men to talk on their cell phones (21.5%) and to talk to their occupants (30.1%). Instead, men did not wear belts. Young drivers mostly used mobile phones. Unsafe behaviors were more common on weekdays than on holidays. There was no significant difference between unsafe behaviors during the day. The only stop was the red light. More than 50% of drivers did not stop behind a redlight line in the morning, which was significantly more than at noon. Discussion: Considering that in the present study, the non-use of seat belts has been reported more than 70% and in previous studies, which was done in the form of a questionnaire or self-report, it is much higher, Therefore, it is recommended that observational studies be performed to more accurately investigate drivers' behavior. It is also necessary to adopt educational strategies, justify and impose restrictions such as close monitoring, fining offending drivers, and using violation recording cameras to reduce unsafe behaviorsen_US
