The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between various factors such as the cause and damage of other organs despite possible lung contusion in critically ill children with Multiple Trauma. Predicting and predicting the severity of injury and mortality in critically ill children with trauma despite probable lung contusion in children with multiple trauma. Materials and Methods: In this study, all patients under the age of 18 who were admitted to the emergency department of Imam Reza hospital in Tabriz were included in the study. Patients were evaluated for age and sex. Correlations between trauma mechanism and associated injuries in patients with shunt trauma were studied. The results of the study were divided into the following age groups: 2 years old (infant), 2 to 12 years old (child) and 12-18 years old (adolescent). Pediatric Trauma Score and Pediatric Risk of Mortality (PRISM) score were evaluated and compared in two groups of patients. The severity of lung injury was assessed with the murray lung injury score Results: Among the 16 patients with pulmonary contusion, the mean PTS of patients was 343.96 and the mean PRISM of patients was 3.96 - 4.50. There was a significant relationship between PRISM and disease outcome (pv = 0.005) but a moderate correlation (pearson corelation = 0.662). No significant relationship was found between the other variables. Other variables were not correlated with outcome.en_US
