dc.description.abstract | Endometriosis is a chronic disease that disrupts the quality of life of patients with a long interval between the onset of symptoms and a long diagnosis. In this study, we also conducted a retrospective study to examine the relationship between blood types and other risk factors in patients with endometriosis under laparoscopy. Or open surgery in the period 1393 to 1397 in Al-Zahra and Taleghani hospitals.
materials and methods. The present study was performed in Alzahra and Taleghani hospitals of Tabriz after obtaining the approval of the ethics committee of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. Files of 264 patients were obtained from the hospital archive and for each file a separate data collection form was assigned and demographic information, history of obstetrics, surgery, family history of endometriosis, history of infertility, type of symptoms and laboratory findings, location of endometriosis, Pathological and surgical results were included. Data were analyzed by SPSS statistical analysis software and version 18 and p-value less than 0.05 was considered significant.
Results: The mean age of patients with endometriosis was 37.10 ± 11.34 years and the mean age of patients who underwent gynecological surgery due to pathologies other than endometriosis was 48.01 ± 9.57 years. Was significant (P <0.001). The mean body mass in these patients was 26.51 ± 4.01 kg / m2 and in other patients was 30.10 ± 4.59 kg / m2 which is statistically significant (P <0.001). 39.7% of patients with endometriosis and 39.1% of other patients had blood type A, 25% of patients with endometriosis and 15.6% of other patients had blood type B, but this difference was not statistically significant; Also, 16.9% of patients with endometriosis and 9.4% of other patients had Rh negative blood group, which was not statistically significant (P = 0.166). | en_US |
