Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate amount of the crestal bone loss in mandible between two common ways of dental implantation, implant supported splinted crowns and implant supported non-splinted crowns. Materials and Methods: In this in vivo study, 50 patients that had their implantations done at Tabriz faculty of dentistry, with total number of 75 dental implants(25 pair with implant supported splinted crowns and 25 with implant supported non-splinted crowns devided in two groups: S or splinted and N or non-splinted) were called to be included in the study and examined by three executive students. All the patients were asked to bring their post-implantaion radiographs as refrence points and then second radiographs were taken by the study conductors for comparison. The procedure was done at Tabriz faculty of dentistry. Results: The findings showed that there is a ststisticaly significant difference between the two study groups (p.value<0.05) and median crestal bone loss in S group was 0.68 mm more than N group. Conclusions: Both splinted and non-splinted implants are reliable and well-passed ways as treatment plans for patients. Although There are guides for better decision making of clinicians. But the data considering the variety of indications and contraindications are incomplete and require more studies to be conducted.en_US
