dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of Tc-99m EDDA/HYNIC-TOC scintigraphy in differential diagnosis of undifferentiated pulmonary nodules. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 30 cases of lung masses in patients with suspected clinical signs referred to the Radiology Center of Imam Reza Hospital for CT scan were included in the study. Patients were then scanned with Tc-99m EDDA/HYNIC-TOC. The type of masses and their prevalence were recorded among patients. Scan findings were also recorded. Then, based on biopsy findings or mass behavior in control CT scans in the next months, the type of mass, sensitivity and specificity of the scan with Tc-99m EDDA/HYNIC-TOC were determined. Results: The mean age of the patients was 54.66±12.49 years. In somatostatin analog scan, in Planar scan out of 30 cases, 21 (70%) had positive uptake and 9 (30%) had negative uptake. In SPECT, out of 30 cases, 23 cases (76.7%) had positive scan and 7 cases (23.3%) had negative scan. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and diagnostic accuracy of SPECT in scanning with somatostatin analog receptors were 91.30%, 71.43, 91.30, 41.71% and 86.67%, respectively.en_US
