dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study was to evaluate the main causes of pyrometric ruptures during lumbar spine surgeries.
Method and materials: Considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 40 patients who underwent degenerative spine surgery in Imam Reza (AS) Hospital in Tabriz from April 2019 to April 2021. The study began comparing data obtained from patients with long-term injury with patients who did not have long-term injury. This information included preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative information items. This information includes basic demographic information and information about clinical cases and events during the operation.
Results: 10 of these patients underwent discectomy with laminectomy or hemylaminectomy or fenestration and 30 patients underwent intraspinous laminectomy solely to release nerve roots. Out of 10 patients who had a discectomy, 1 suffered a more far-reaching injury. Out of 30 patients who underwent a laminectomy alone, 8 had a more far-reaching injury. vs ± 60 ± 14 years of age; p = 0.044, t-test) and also had longer duration of operation than patients without more distant injury (146 ± 59 vs 110 ± 54 minutes; p = 0.025, t-test). The prevalence of pyrometric rupture was higher in patients with a history of spinal reoperation (p <0.001). | en_US |
