Since childhood and adolescence is the first time many psychiatric disorders start and affect subsequent periods. Timely diagnosis and treatment of these disorders is important. One of these disorders is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Therefore, access to a standard diagnostic tool is essential. Materials and methods: PAPA interview attention deficit hyperactivity disorder questions were reviewed by a panel of experts. In calculating the sample size, by estimating the default prevalence of 10%, the sample size was estimated based on the prevalence of 240 people and by applying the "minimal design" effect of 1.25 times, the sample size was 300 people. Then, 300 mothers with 2-5 years old children were interviewed and administered the Conners questionnaire. Data were analyzed at P <0.05. Results: The results showed that PAPA questionnaire attention deficit hyperactivity disorder questions had the ability to discriminate between affected and non-affected individuals and had a sensitivity of 0.92, a specificity of (0.01) and a cut-off point of 21.5. It also has positive predictive value (95.83%), negative predictive value (98.91%), negative likelihood ratio (0.12), positive likelihood ratio (242.38), overall diagnostic accuracy (98.67%) and sufficient diagnostic odds ratio (2085.35). On the other hand it has Modified Kappa = 0.97, CVI = 0.98, CVR = 0.95.en_US
