dc.description.abstractThis study was designed and conducted to determine the level of academic and job satisfaction and its determinants in family physicians. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the population and the research sample included all family medical assistants in the country. Data collection tools were two valid and reliable questionnaires that were provided to all assistants through cyberspace. Completed questionnaires were transferred from Excel file to SPSS software and descriptive results were shown in the form of tables and graphs. Statistical analyzes were performed between different groups in terms of comparing means and determining the correlation with independent t-test, One-way Anova,pearson correlation and in all cases P <.05 considered significant. Results: The participation rate of the residents was 78% and their academic satisfaction was 74.35%. Personal interest, helping patients were the most important factors of satisfaction On the other hand, the main factors of dissatisfaction included low income and the labor market.Residents' job satisfaction was 58.24 percent and quality of work, status items were the most important factors. On the other hand, job security factors and salaries and benefits were the most dissatisfying factors. The differences between personal, professional and organizational characteristics with academic and job satisfaction were insignificant. But the variables of years of academic break were significant with satisfactions.en_US
