Introduction Plants of genus Peucedanum have been used in different cultures as traditional medicines. Scope: Due to the importance of medicinal properties of genus Peucedanum and very limited studies on the phytochemistry of Zeravschania aucheri, this plant was selected for phytochemical analysis along with evaluation of its antioxidant property. Methods and materials: The aerial parts of Zeravschania aucheri were extracted with N-hexane, chloroform, and methanol, respectively, and then dried by rotary evaporator. The methanolic extract was fractionated by various chromatographic methods (Column chromatography, HPLC) and finally a pure substance was identified by NMR. Volatile oils were collected from fresh plant and dried annual plant powder by water distillation and their content was analyzed by GC-MS and compared with together. Antioxidant assay test was performed on methanolic extract by DPPH method. All methods used were performed with great care based on reliable sources in vitro. Results: A flavonoid compound was identified from the N-butanol fraction of the methanolic extract of this plant. Analysis of volatile oils from fresh plant and dried annual plant powders identified 39 and 19 compounds, respectively. Germacron D and Thymol methyl ether were the main compounds of fresh plant essential oil and germacron D and Hexahydrofarencilyl acetone were the main compounds of dried one year essential oil. Total methanolic extract showed IC50 of 52.961± 0.07 μg/ml. Conclusion: The phytochemical analysis of this plant showed presence A flavonoid compound. Also this study have shown Zeravschania aucheri has significant antioxidant capacity. The main constituent of the plant essential oil is germacron D.en_US
