Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is a result of atherosclerosis Arises. Atherosclerosis leads to artery clogging and has a variety of causes. The aim of this study is evaluation of Matrix metallo-proteinase (MMP-2), Platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) and Malon¬¬di¬aldehyde (MDA) serum concentrations in patients With CAD and association of theses biochemical parameters with CAD. Methods: 80 subject, including 60 with CAD and 20 as a control group were were included to study. Patients were divided into three groups, including 20 subjects with 1 vessel disease, 20 subjects with 2 vessels, and 20 subjects with 3 vessels disease according to angiography result. Lipid parameters was measures using a standard method. Serum concentration of MMP-2 and PDGF determined using ELISA. Serum concentration of MDA and TAC were measured using spectrophotometry (colorimetry). Results: Serum concentrations of MMP-2, PDGF, and MDA in the patients were significantly increased compared to the control group but the serum concentration of TAC was decreased. Serum concentrations of MMP-2, PDGF and MDA in 3VD, 2VD and 1VD groups were increased in comparison to the control group. MDA in 3VD was increased in comparison to the the 1VD group. Serum concentrations of TAC were significantly decreased in 3VD, 2VD and 1VD comared to the control group and as well the 3VD groups compared to the 1VD. Serum concentrations of cholesterol, trigluceride and LDL were significantly increased in patients compared to the control group but serum concentrations of HDL-C was decreased.en_US
