| dc.description.abstract | Several biomarkers have been used to estimate and classify the risk of patients with Pulmonary embolism )PE(. The use of biomarkers can improve the therapeutic management of patients and their therapeutic outcomes. One of the biomarkers that has received a lot of attention today is D-Dimer in patients with PE. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between serum D-Dimer level and CT angiography of lung in PE patients.
Methods: In this retrospective descriptive study, demographic information and disease of the samples including age, sex, smoking, clinical signs, ECG results in patients with complete or incomplete RBBB and S1Q3, echocardiography results including RV-dysfunction and systolic blood pressure. Pulmonary artery, CT angiography results, D-Dimer test results were recorded in patients' records. CT angiography score evaluation was based on Qanadli Score. Then, the relationship between pulmonary CT angiography score in P severity and D-Dimer values in patients was compared.
Results: The mean D-Dimer of patients was 2.28 ± 0.59 mg/L and the mean CT score of patients was 15.28 ± 6.75. In examining the relationship between serum D-Dimer level and CT-Angiography score, with increasing serum D-Dimer level, CT-Angiography score also increases significantly. | en_US |
