Hydatidosis is one of the most important parasitic diseases in our country and other parts of the world, which is caused by the tapeworm echinococcosis granulosus. Since humans are infected with the larval stage of the parasite, and hydatic cysts form in various tissues, diagnosing the disease, especially in the early stages of the disease, is a medical problem. The most important way to diagnose this disease is to use a photography technique, which is usually not able to diagnose the disease in the early stages of the disease. MiRNAs are small, non-coding components of RNA that circulate in the body's biological fluids for a long time. Some types of these miRNAs are expressed in echinococcosis-gangrenolosis at different stages of the disease and the life cycle of the parasite. The aim of this study was to investigate specific parasite miRNAs as plasma biomarkers to diagnose hydatid cyst disease. Methods: In this study, 20 patients with hydatid cysts identified using radiological methods and histopathological findings, compared to 20 healthy individuals who were matched in terms of age and sex, in terms of rate The expression miR-146a and miR-155 were evaluated. After extraction of RNA from plasma and cDNA synthesis, the expression levels of two specific parasite miRNAs, including miR-146a and miR-155, were investigated by Real time PCR molecular method. Patients were then followed up for three to six months after surgery. Results: The results of qRT-PCR showed that the expression of miR-146a and miR-155 increased significantly in patients with hydatid cysts compared to healthy individuals, which was statistically significant (P = 0. 0103, P = 0. 0023).en_US
