The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between serum levels orexin A and TGF_B and leptin with BMI in multiple sclerosis patients. . Materials and methods: In this study, 25 patients were considered as patient group and 40 patients as control group. Serum lipid parameters were measured by standard method. Serum level of OREXIN A was measured by human ELISA kit. Serum TGF_B level was measured with human ELISA kit. Serum leptin level was also measured with leptin ELISA kit. Results: The mean age of participants was 71 years. Gender composition was not significantly different between the two groups. There was no significant difference in history of smoking, alcohol, OCP, cancer and neurological diseases other than multiple myeloma. Mean serum OREXIN A level was lower in the case group. Was obtained from the control and this observed difference was statistically significant. The mean serum level of TGF_B in the case group was lower than the control group. Serum leptin level in the case group was twice that of the control group and this difference was significant Also, there was not a statistically significant relationship between serum levels of orexin A, TGF-B and leptin with BMI.en_US
