dc.description.abstractIn this study, the effect of ASLS instruction training on medical students' knowledge and skills will be investigated in order to pay attention to the treatment and follow-up of stroke patients and provide an overall improvement in this field by improving the level of diagnostic and treatment services. . Methods: In this study, internship 2 students who are studying at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences participated. ASLS training was conducted in a one-day workshop based on evidence, which included 3.5 hours of training lectures and 4.5 hours of small and large skills training group sessions. The lecture included discussions on stroke epidemiology, pathophysiology, anatomy, and the recognition and management of the major stroke syndromes and symptoms. Results: In this study, 105 external students of 2 medical schools of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences were included in the study. In examining the response rate of students in pre-test, in 6 areas, most students in stroke epidemiology have chosen the right answer and in the area of causes of stroke, more than half of students have chosen the wrong option. In reviewing and comparing the results before and after training, 61.30% before training and 84.13% in the test post gave the correct answer, which have a significant difference (pv = 0.001). In the fields of knowledge (epidemiology of stroke, causes of stroke, stroke symptoms and diagnosis and differential strokes of stroke) in the pre-test of 53.61 and after training and in the test post 86.03%, the answer is correct and is statistically significant. . (pv = 0.019). In the field of skills (management and treatment of stroke and thrombolytic injection) in the pre-test 60.85% and after training and in the test post 80.35% had the correct answer, which is not statistically significant (pv = 0.078)en_US
