dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is measurement of the prevalence of vitamin D and Zinc deficiency in Alopecia areata patients. Material and methods: This was a cross sectional study conducted in years 2019-2020 at Sina Education and Therapy Center. In the course of study demographic information and laboratory results of serum Zinc and vitamin D levels gathered and analyzed. Results: Among participants in this study 12/3% had Zinc deficiency and 17/3% had vitamin D deficiency. Also 59/3% of cases had vitamin D insufficiency. Correlation between serum Zinc level and disease involvement area extent was weakly inverse and statistically insignificant. This correlation between vitamin D and disease involvement area extent was inconsiderable and statistically insignificant too.en_US
