Abstract: Introduction: Nowadays, NST is one of the most carried out tests for assessing fetal health, and since this test has high false positive results and most of the fetuses with non –reactive NST are not exposed to risk, identifying effective methods in specifying such cases prevents unnecessary interventions in prenatal care, therefore, present study was carried out with the aim of comparison of audio stimulation and maternal nutrition on nonreactive NST. Materials and Methods: This research was carried out on 104 healthy pregnant women between 32-42 weeks of the pregnancy in AL –Zahra hospital of Tabriz. The samples were randomly divided into two groups. One cake and one fruit juice were giving to one of the groups, and the other group was exposed to audio stimulation. After half an hours, NST was carried out again in two groups in the same environmental conditions. Then, the results were evaluated. Results: The findings of this study showed that; 75% of nonreactive NST results were changed to reactive results after using audio stimulation and 80.8% of nonreactive NST results were changed to reactive results after maternal nutrition. The comparison of the tests results didn't show significant statistical difference in two groups. Conclusion: The results of researcher indicated that, using both audio stimulation and maternal nutrition methods on the basis of heath care provider's possibilities and preferences can specify false positive results of the NST in most cases and prevent unnecessary and invasive interventions.en_US
