This study aimed to evaluate the health outcomes of traffic injuries in pedestrians. Methods and materials: This prospective study was conducted using the traffic injury registry in Tabriz city. To collect the health-related data we applied the Patient health questionnaire (PHQ-9) in order to evaluate the major depressive disorder (MDD). To assess the post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) the PC-PTSD tool was evaluated after forward and backward translation. To determine the internal consistency of the questionnaire the Cronbach's Alpha was used. We analyzed the association of socio-demographic correlated of health consequences by logistic regression. The SPSS ver.16 was used and P-Value<0.05 was considered as the significant level. Results: The Cronbach's Alpha for PC-PTSD was 0.66 and the reliability was acceptable. The mean age of participants was 43.5 with standard deviation of 13.38 years. In total 30 women (34.9%) and 56 men (65.1%) was followed-up. In 84 subjects, 58 had PTSD (69%), and 45 had MDD (53.6%). Thirty nine participants (46.4%) had the comorbidity of PTSD and MDD. The logistic regression showed that age was significantly related to MDD (P=0.029).en_US
