In a cross-sectional study after the approval of the Regional Ethics Committee, in adults with a MMSE score higher than 25 and in children with an IQ above 75, before and after the surgery, the Digit span forward and backward tests, Stroop test and Ray osterrieth Complex Figure Test and Trail making task A and B tests were conducted . Then, the scores of the tests were compared with the normal values as well as with post-operative scores. Results: In this study, 81 children and 120 adults were examined. In the examination of Forward and Backward digit span tests, there was no significant difference between pre-operative patients with standard scores, but after surgery, these scores were significantly improved compared to preoperative scores. Rey osterrieth tests included copy, copy time, immediate and delayed recall, prior to the surgery, compared to the standard scores. The immediate recall in children and the immediate and delayed recall in adults were significantly different, and the scores of these tests were significantly improved after surgery. Among the trail making task A, B and Stroop, in the preoperative assesment, only trail making A was improved relative to the standard level. Also, these tests were improved after surgery. In patients with meningioma scores of Forward and Backward digit span tests were significantly lower compared to the other types of tumor, that indicate more working memory damage. In the patients with Oligodendroglioma, the scores of Trail making A and Stroop tests were significantly higher, also the scores of immediate and delayed recall in Rey osterrith test were significantly lower, showing more neuropsychological impairment in this tumor.en_US
