dc.description.abstractAbstract: Introduction: Nowadays, despite knowledge increasing importance, several studies indicate that, there is a great gap between knowledge creation and utilization, especially in nursing. Meanwhile, evidence of the amount of personal and organizational efforts for transferring nursing researches to promotion its quality and quantity, is not available. Thus, present study accomplished with the aim of description of nursing educators' perception on personal and organizational activities for transferring nursing research. Methods: This descriptive study was carried out with the population consisted of 279 nurse educators in Universities of Medical Sciences. Data related to personal knowledge transfer were collected by using Knott & Wildavsky (1980) Landry et al (2001, 2003) questionnaire and related to organizational level transfer were collected by knowledge transfer self –assessment questionnaire in research institutes developed by Siddiqui et al (2007). At first, 31 nursing and midwifery school among of the 47 schools in the country (three academic type) were selected by randomize sampling method. Then samples were selected in the appropriate number of nursing educators. Data were analyzed in SPSS. Results: The results of this study illustrated that personal knowledge transferring activities was weak. However, the most personal activities were related to "presentation in conference and sending research results" and the lowest was dedicated to "involvement in businesses activities". Knowledge transfer activities in organizational levels was reported in moderate condition, and among those, "judging the results of all projects before research transferring", "researchers communication skills", "the researchers knowing with the subject of how knowledge transfer" were in good condition, and " existence of research transfer process in order to transfer for greater addresser", "regulated schedule with public, special media and addresser group", "existence of intellectual property protection laws" and "evaluating the overall evidence –based practice in leadership level" were reported in weak condition. Conclusion: According to current study findings, it is necessary to assess ways, to create, develop or facilitate personal and organizational strategies regarding nursing research transfer.en_US
