The purpose of this study is to investigate the association between resilience and job burnout amongst healthcare providers of emergency departments (EDs) and emergency medial services in Tabriz. Material and methods. In this cross-sectional study, particpants were selected from physicians, nurses, and technicians of EDs of Imam Reza and Sina hospitals, and emergency medical services of Tabriz. The data were collected using standardized questionnaires including Maslach burnout inventory (MBI) and Connor-Davidson resilience questionnaires. Results. We studied 173 healthcare providers. Our study demonstrated that burnout was highly prevalent in ED workers and it is more common in female compared to male workers. We found that among all participants, general practioners reported highest levels of burnout and the study also showed burnout was more common in hospital ED workers than those who work in prehospital services. At last, we found that resilience was independently associated with lower job burnout.en_US
