dc.description.abstractAbstract: This research is a descriptive and analytical study which has been performed to investigate the stressors and coping methods in hemodialysis patients. It consist of one goal and four special objectives which are about physical and psychosocial stressors and coping methods. In this research 66 hemodialysis patients referred to the hemodialysis wards of the Medical Sciences University of Tabriz have been studied. Sampling method was as purposive sampling and the data were collected through questionnaires. The questionnaires consist of three parts: 1) Demographics 2) Physical and Psychosocial stressors 3) coping methods. In order to achieve the research objectives descriptive and inferential statistics have been used and results, have been presented on 42 tables and 12 charts. The findings of this study in relation with physical and psychosocial stressors showed that fatigue with 76.5% and limitation physical activity with 74.1% were among the greatest stressors. The findings of this study in relation with coping methods showed that "accepted situation worry" with 81.8% were the highest coping methods. The research also indicates that some factors such as educational level and place of residence had significant effects on the stress. The researcher has recommended some points for application of the findings and further researches. Hoped that, this research can be an instrumental factor in reducing stress in hemodialysis patients.en_US
