dc.description.abstractAbstract: This research is a descriptive study which has been carried out to investigate the effective factors in compliance with Medication in hypertensive patients who were admitted to Medical Clinics of Imam Khomeini education and treatment center in Tabriz 1373. It consists of a general goal and seven special goals. In this research 60hypertensive patients have been chosen on the base of purposive sampling method. Data were collected by structured patient interview using a questionnaire including 6 main parts. The first part was related to demographic information. The second part included a compliance scale and next four parts was related to variables of Health Beliefs Model (H.B.M). For achieving the goals of the research descriptive and inferential statistics was used. The results is shown in 60 tables, and 8 diagram. Based on results of this study, rate of compliance with medication in hypertensive patients was 45% and factors that increased the rate of compliance include: 1) High perceived susceptibility to disease (r=-0.43, p<0.05). 2) High perceived severity of disease (r=-0.32, p< 0.05). 3) High perceived benefits of compliance with medication (r=-0.48, p<0.05). 4) Low perceived barriers to compliance with medication (r=0.43, p<0.05). In analyses of demographic variables older age (r=0.23), long duration of disease (r=0.24) and long duration of drug regimen were associated with decreased level of compliance. The researcher has presented some suggestions according to the results of research for application and for performance next studies.en_US
